Kierkegaard said, "Be that self which one truly is," and that's what you're doing. I respect that and so should your family and other friends. Faith is something akin to the artistic muse in that it can be quite elusive. Remember: Mother Teresa's "dark night of the soul" lasted much of her life. The fact that you contemplate about God and faith (or lack thereof), leads me to believe that you are closer to God than you realize. Anyway, I appreciate your candor.
